Yet, these are most almost never recommended by doctors, who prefer to give labels and anti-depressants. This is one of the largest waste of human potential in our world today.
Even brief moments spent outside our own heads, whether using mediation, LSD or other techniques - produce positive impact to our psyches, creativity and motivation. This is certainly true for myself. When I'm stuck in my own ego, fear and uncertainty, the work I do is most definitely far worse than what I do when I'm feeling at peace and focused on contribution, not on myself.
